Hosted our wedding here over two nights in March 2026. It was an incredible once in a lifetime experience for our family and friends who traveled in from the US. From the moment we arrived, every detail was taken care of. Charlotte and the Borthwick team had great communication and regular check in meetings with us over Zoom in the months leading up to our trip. Our wedding weekend surpassed our wildest dreams. The rooms were beautiful and felt freshly furnished while still authentically medieval. We hired archery by Kingsfield for the lawn and were the first to bring in Highland cows with Crazy Critters. The morning of the ceremony my fiancé and I enjoyed a peaceful nature walk by the stream on the grounds before going our separate ways to get ready which set the perfect tone for our day. Our family had the incredible privilege of staying at Borthwick Castle from July 10-15 for our wedding, and it exceeded every expectation we had. The castle itself is breathtaking. Every single person went above and beyond to make our family feel welcome. Their kindness, professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care made our wedding week completely stress-free. Every meal was outstanding, every room was immaculate, and every detail was handled flawlessly. Our guests are still talking about what an unforgettable experience it was. Many said it was the most incredible wedding they had ever attended. Borthwick Castle didn’t just host our wedding. It became part of our story. We recently stayed for two nights at Borthwick Castle for a wedding, and it was an unforgettable experience. The castle is a truly stunning, one-of-a-kind venue, full of history, atmosphere, and character. The staff did an incredible job throughout the entire weekend, with every detail handled professionally and seamlessly. A special mention must go to the manager, Craig, who is the absolute picture of professionalism. Staying in the highest room in the tower meant plenty of castle stairs, but before I even had the chance to ask for assistance, Craig had already taken our bags all the way up and valet parked my car. That level of attentiveness set the tone for the whole stay. The dinner service was exceptionally well organized and timed, with genuinely five-star service and incredible food served throughout the experience. Everything felt polished without ever losing the warmth and personality that make the castle so special. Borthwick Castle is an extraordinary venue, and the staff elevated an already remarkable setting into a truly memorable weekend.
