Built 1915–1917 for William and Willie Lewis, the Aldredge House is a French Eclectic mansion on Dallas’s historic Swiss Avenue. Designed by Hal Thomson and later home to George and Rena Aldredge, it’s now a museum. As an event venue, it was awe-inspiring—warm, elegant, and rich with history. You can truly feel Rena Aldredge’s presence; she was a founding patron of Dallas-area Garden Clubs. The house’s memorabilia and beautifully preserved grounds are fantastic. Fun trivia: the upstairs study served as J.R. Ewing’s office in the TV show Dallas.
