4 months agoWe had a wonderful weekend at Monkton House to celebrate my daughter’s engagement. The house is so beautiful and well appointed with everything we needed. The staff were very attentive and responded quickly about everything. The games room was particularly a huge hit with the teenagers!

9 months agoMonkton House was home. We gathered with most of our family- our kids and their kids. It was special but not stuffy. The house… quirky and wonderful! The grounds provided a relief valve for built up energy. I would Highly recommend the perfect accompaniment to your stay - dinners prepared by Shona, of Balbarella Beets. We were able to savor the atmosphere AND some amazing and decadent meals. She is 100% kid friendly (as is the house). Our stay at Monkton House was warm and memorable and special. I cannot recommend it enough. (But you’ve got to have Shona, of Barbarella Beets, a part of it!)

a year agoWe spent Christmas in Anna and Andys magical castle. We were 14 adults and four children and we never felt crowded or cramped. Anna had decorated for Christmas, and it was stunning, as if we’d done it ourselves. There was something for everyone, as we were a mixed age group. The downstairs tavern and games room, with a karaoke machine was a favourite. The playroom/second living room was full of toys for the kids. As for the chinese living room and sumptuous dining room, absolutely sublime. The gardens were brilliant for the kids to run off christmas excitement. All in all we had a ball!
