in the last weekMy wife and I thought the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens was absolutely beautiful. The prices to get in were very reasonable, and parking was extremely easy. Walking around the grounds was a lot of fun — everything was clean, the paths were clearly marked, and there was plenty of room to explore without feeling crowded. We arrived before noon, and that turned out to be a great choice. The Arboretum was quiet and peaceful early in the day, but around 12:00 the crowds started to pick up. Even then, the property was immaculately maintained. You can tell the greenery is cared for with real attention and pride. We do plan on going back, especially at night. Many of the trees are wired for lighting, and I’d like to see how the Arboretum looks after dark. Some reviews say you can spend four hours there, but we walked the entire 66 acres in about an hour and a half. There was a bit of construction happening, but it was kept out of the way and didn’t interfere with the visit at all. If you enjoy walking beautiful grounds or appreciate how well plants and landscaping are maintained, this is definitely a place you’ll want to spend some time.
